Chief of Navy
Reserve Vice Adm. Luke McCollum is proud to announce the 2019 Navy Reserve
Sailor of the Year. After a board panel interview process hosted virtually from
CNR’s residence on the Navy Yard, AWF1 Amanda Alcantar from Fleet Logistics
Support Squadron Five Eight has been chosen as this year’s top Reserve Sailor.
AWF1 Alcantar will
next participate in the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy’s Sailor of the
Year ceremony and will be meritoriously advanced to Chief Petty Officer.
Congratulations to
all of the participants, their families and units. Each finalist should be
proud of their superb records and outstanding service to our Navy and nation.
