914th Airlift Wing Public Affairs
12/11/2014 - NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION, N.Y. -- Col. Victor D. Brown assumed command of the 914th Aeromedical Staging Squadron here on Dec. 6.
Brown served as the chief of Dental Services for the 914th ASTS. He
entered the Air Force Reserve by direct commission in 2001 and has
participated in several international missions.
"I'm very excited to take command of a wonderful, supportive unit and
honored to serve the 914th Airlift Wing," said Brown, who has a civilian
dental practice in Coudersport, Pennsylvania.
Brown is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry which is dedicated
to life-long learning for the dental profession. He has been married to
Linda, his wife of 39 years, and he credits his father-in law's
distinguished military career as a primary factor for his enlistment
into the Air Force Reserve.
"There will be challenges for me as I move into an administrative role
and away from direct patient care," said Brown. "However, I am most
excited to watch the young Airmen, who I now command, progress in their
careers while serving their country."
