than 500 Wyoming service members, their families and retirees
participated in the inaugural Sexual Assault Awareness Month 5K ruck,

The 153rd Airlift Wing hosted the event which was held to raise

run, ruck with a minimum of 35 pounds or walk the 3.1 mile course and
prizes were awarded to the fastest times in multiple categories.
Fifty volunteers assisted in the event which raised more than $900 for local charities.
"The results of the Inaugural Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention 5k
ruck 5k run/walk was overwhelmingly positive. I am thankful and honored
that so many people participated in helping to further bring awareness
to sexual assault and prevention. As a team, we learned some details
about planning an event of this size and will take the lessons learned
with us in preparing and planning a bigger event for next year that will
bring more attention to the program", said 1st Lt. Erin Swingholm,
