Fleet Engagement Team Travels to Pacific Northwest

From Navy Personnel Command Public Affairs

MILLINGTON, Tenn. (NNS) -- Navy Personnel Command's (NPC) fleet engagement team is scheduled to visit Pacific Northwest naval stations Feb. 10-13 to meet with Sailors and discuss the latest personnel policies and initiatives impacting the fleet.

"This is a rare opportunity for Sailors to meet and speak with those who shape personnel policy," said Capt. Bruce Deshotel, head enlisted community manager, Bureau of Naval Personnel. "We make these visits to get out and talk to Sailors and enhance their personal and professional development, and to ensure command leadership teams understand current manpower programs."

Topics during the briefs include: force management; military community management, including Career Waypoints information technology system; an enlisted distribution briefing; and at Everett, Kitsap-Bangor, and Kitsap-Bremerton there will be Nuclear Distribution "Pathway to Success" overviews.

The briefings are designed to give information to Sailors as well as provide them the opportunity to ask questions. Commanding officers, executive officers, command master chiefs and Navy Counselors are also highly encouraged to attend.

The team will conduct the briefings at:
* Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Feb. 10
* Naval Station Everett, Feb. 11
* Naval Station Kitsap-Bangor, Feb. 12
* Naval Station Kitsap-Bremerton, Feb. 13

Sailors should contact their command career counselor for briefing times and locations.
