New National Veterans’ Assistance Program America’s Fund Unveils Website on Flag Day

Washington, DC The Semper Fi Fund announced today, on Flag Day, the official launch of the America’s Fund website. The new website (www.americasfund.org) features information about the Fund and the service members it helps, along with resources for veterans and an online donation functionality.

America’s Fund is a pilot program administered by the Semper Fi Fund, providing immediate financial support to injured service members from all branches and their families. Since its launch last month, America’s Fund has already begun to fulfill grant requests for 14 service members, the first of whom is featured on the new website.

“America’s Fund is a wonderful way for us to help more of our country’s injured service members and families,” commented Karen Guenther, the founder and CEO of the Semper Fi Fund. “Celebrating the new website’s launch on Flag Day makes it even more poignant.”

America’s Fund’s first priority is providing family support grants. These enable families to spend time at loved ones’ hospital bedsides, free from the financial pressures of travel, temporary lodging and lost wages.

They plan to quickly expand their range of services to include assistance for specialized and adaptive equipment, adaptive housing and transportation, education and career transition aid, therapeutic arts and PTSD and TBI support.

America’s Fund is a pilot program created to direct urgently needed resources and financial support to injured and critically ill members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. The program is administered by the Semper Fi Fund, an established 501(c)(3) nonprofit with an A+ rating from the American Institute of Philanthropy and a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator.
