Ramstein Airman Dies

10/29/2014 - RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany  -- An Airman assigned to the 86th Airlift Wing died in Schwedelbach, Kaiserslautern County, at approximately 2:15 p.m. October 26, has been identified as Staff Sgt. Nathan L. Tinsley. The 27-year-old Airman from Eureka, Calif, was assigned to the 86th Maintenance Squadron.

"The 86th Airlift Wing lost a valuable member of its Air Force family. Staff Sgt. Tinsley was a respected member of Team Ramstein and will be missed by his unit and all who had the opportunity to serve with him," said Brig. Gen. Patrick X. Mordente, 86th Airlift Wing commander. "Our thoughts and prayers during this time of loss continue to be with his family, friends and coworkers."

A memorial service is planned but no date has been set.
