Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III announced today that the president has made the following nomination:
Air Force Gen. Jacqueline D. Van Ovost for appointment to the grade of general, and assignment as commander, U.S. Transportation Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Van Ovost is currently serving as commander, Air Mobility Command, Scott AFB, Illinois.
